But we had already informed the SIT nearly 20 days back that the particular answersheet of Ruby has been missing from the board office.”
A probe was ordered by BSEB chairman Anand Kishor after the SIT wrote to the education department regarding the missing copy. All the answersheets of the toppers and samples of their hand writing were sent to the FSL by the SIT for calligraphy test.
Meanwhile, the SIT on Thursday procured arrest warrants against the parents of four Intermediate toppers from a lower court in Patna.
City SP Chandan Kushwaha, who is heading the SIT in the absence of SSP Manu Maharaaj, said, “We had earlier prayed to court for arrest warrants against the parents, and today we got the order. We have also got proclamation notices against the three absconding students.”
He added, “The SIT has also got arrest warrant against Vivek Ranjan, son-in-law of former BSEB chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh and son of former VC of Magadh University, Arun Kumar. Vivek has also been absconding to evade arrest. His involvement came up in allotment of tender to Mathura Printers and Processors.” The firm had received tenders of Rs 4 crore for two consecutive years for printing of BSEB’s answersheets.
The SIT has already sent letters to different banks to freeze the accounts of all the accused and arrested persons in this case. The accounts include those of Lalkeshwar, his wife and former MLA Usha Sinha and Bachcha Roy, the director-cum-principal of Vishun Roy College, which is in the eye of the Inter scam storm.
